Does anybody need to get any other exotic swords? I'm at the point where I'm almost ready to run the strike for all three. I figure I can get all three done at once, and anybody needing more can get in on it too.

The trick is to infuse the legendary swords after you're at the material gathering / ability kills section of your first sword. The other swords will start right at that step. You can skip everything before it. It's great not having to get crucible kills two more times.

It just takes Shaxxx a little while sometimes to pop up with the quest, but he will.

I've been sitting at the final step of the arc sword quest for a couple weeks now. I'd be happy to run the strike with you.

1 note about getting all 3 at the same time: It is a nightmare. Fighting the Dark Blade while dodging all 3 knights is the most challenging thing I've ever tried to do in Destiny. I've only ever attempted multiple sword unlocks with LFG groups, but we never came close to completing it even while going for just 2 swords.

So if be happy to try getting all 3 at the same time with you, but we might be better off just running the strike 3 times.

The best tactic I've come up with so far is using a Titan with a blinding bubble to pacify the Knights for a few moments. 3 defenders with blinding bubbles might stand a fair chance of surviving the Knights' attacks long enough to complete the encounter.

Easy: you stand way back up on the ledge and snipe the vex using your Ice Breaker while the rest of your fireteam does all the hard work.

How tight is the timing between killing the knights and the boss?

You need to kill the boss within 30 seconds of killing a Knight. So if you're going for all 3 swords, you have a 30 second window that begins the moment you kill the first knight to then kill the other 2 knights and the boss.

I figure I'll have my legendary sword next year.

I don't even know how t start the quest. I've been Thinking about a post on the problem I'm having with every exotic weapon being a quest. I worry it will just devolve into a rant about how YouTube videos are not always the best pedagogical tool.

Doesn't take that long. Took me maybe 2 or 3 hours tops. Got all 3 with my Titan, void and solar at the same time.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he knew that.

With the right combination of gear (and the right location), it's actually pretty painless. It's been a little while, and I'm not near anything I can look up gear perks with, but I was wearing something that 1) gave me an extra force barrier punch, and 2) had a pretty good chance of recharging force barrier 100% on a successful hit. Running around a lot of low-level creatures, it was easy to get 8-10 force barrier kills in a row - and even when it needed recharging, there was just 30-45 seconds between empty and full. (Only the first punch counts for the ability kill, but that's where the exotic gear helps out.)

I used the mission from TDB where you go into Rasputin's bunker (Siege of the Warmind?). Skullfort might be better than Armamentarium, but oh well.
