I successfully did all three at the same time on Xbox. With Padraig and Bonekin as my teammates, no less!

How tight is the timing between killing the knights and the boss?

You need to kill the boss within 30 seconds of killing a Knight. So if you're going for all 3 swords, you have a 30 second window that begins the moment you kill the first knight to then kill the other 2 knights and the boss.
