I was playing Mayhem Rumble tonight, and I was about to report the unfairness of Defenders having another Super ready by the time their Super ends(Infinite Titan Bubble, thanks), allowing one guy to camp at the Heavy Ammo spawn, completely invincible until say, a Golden Gun happens to pop by, but glossing over that. The guy using this camping method was actually cheating, too!

The dude was in a fireteam of two

How was something like this missed?

Maybe he could join his buddy after they had started the game?

is it possible that he was able to join him from the dashboard? Or maybe it was a join in-progress after someone dropped?

I could only guess it was the latter. Because then he would technically be joining solo but he joined a fire team.

it seemed like that's only ever worked for me when the other team was down, so i would be playing against the ppl in my fireteam.

maybe since rumble is basically 6 one-man teams, it will let you join in progress?
