The gunsmith has sold a couple mid impact Hakke sniper rifles before, Arc and Void, with surplus. This week he is selling the solar variant.

But, notably, he is selling a heavy with surplus for what I think is the first time. Theoretically, both the JLB rocket launchers from Suros can roll surplus, so I've had one of each sitting in my inventory for the entire time the game has been out. This week, the JLB-42 is a void rocket launcher with surplus. This is the roll.

If you have one of these saved, it's the week to cash it in.

For those not following my love of ammo perks, Surplus is a perk that doubles the ammo pickup per brick, for BOTH secondary and heavy guns. You now pick up 4 rockets, or 12 sniper shots. If you use both the Hakke sniper and the Suros RL with surplus, you fill each one, from empty, with a single ammo brick.

If you have Taikonaut on your titan, this doubles up with the ammo perk. Same for ruin wings.

If you're in a situation where your heavy is of little use, like Golgoroth or Warpriest, running a surplus heavy to make sure you double up on Black Hammer shots can be a huge benefit. Likewise, for Oryx, a mid impact sniper is almost as good as a high impact one. It still takes two shots to kill the knights no matter what you use. So, using a surplus mid impact, thereby doubling up on the machine gun ammo for emergency add kills or run and gun yellow knight kills or especially the shade of Oryx in the thunderdome can be hugely beneficial.

If you don't have this gun, next time he sells it, make sure to buy the order and check in every week. I've been waiting months for this. Next time you might get lucky.
