Why can't you transfer characters? (Destiny)
With a lot of he PS4 crew dabbling in Xbox, I really wonder what is preventing character migration. I can log in to Bungie.net with a web browser, and have access to all my gear and my character. So what is stopping an Xbox one from doing the same thing and then using he character?
Genuine question if anybody knows.
Sony and Microsoft

Sony and MS don't want anyone jumping ship.
Yep, it's dumb as fuck!

Why can't you transfer characters?
Do you want me to link you to the ENTIRE Black Friday Trilogy?
It's competition, dude! Insane, broiling, often irrational competition!

I think that's just an excuse
Grand Theft Auto V lets you transfer your characters to whatever platform through their website.
Sure, it's only from previous gen to next gen versions, and it's one way, but it is something. Bungie has a more robust web presence than most of the other big games so I don't see why there isn't an option.

It's not even an excuse, no official statement has been made, it's people being logical about why it would happen. There's really no reason why Bungie wouldn't want to do it, it would only encourage more sales for the game (more people would buy two copies of the game). GTA I think was able to get away with it because Rockstar does what every they effing want to do. Sony and Microsoft are the only ones in this situation who wouldn't want it to happen.
