Got an Elite Controller for Christmas (Destiny)
First off, I never realized that I held my controllers with such death grip until i got the Elite controller. Took me a while to get used to holding it with a lighter grip.
Also, took me a couple of days to get used to it, but now i think it has made me a better player. My average K/D has been about .9 forever. my first few games of iron banner this week were pitiful, as i was forcing myself to think about the paddles (k/d was .5 or worse).
But once i rewired my thinking, i started to consistently get over 1 k/d, even had a few games of 2+ k/d and one 4 k/d game. Will have to see if this has a long-term effect, or if i was just running with the right group of DBO-ers. :)
I would have never have gotten this controller if it hadn't been gifted to me, and now i don't see how i could ever play again without it.
on the top left paddle i have crouch/slide, and the bottom left is sprint. Top right is reload/revive, and bottom right is jump. I've seen where a lot of people map Y to a paddle, but i don't find myself swapping weapons that much, and prefer having all my movement and reload/revive functions on the paddles.
It also took me until last night to realize that i only had to tap the sprint button, i didn't need to hold it down. In the past, i always held down on the left stick with i sprinted, not sure now if that was really necessary or not.
