Got an Elite Controller for Christmas (Destiny)

I would love to be able to rent one for a week just to see if it would be worth the money :-)

The problem I have is that I get REALLY tense when I play. I always have and thus I hold my controller with a death grip. People always tell me to relax (guitar hero was the worst) but I don't know if it's possible.

And I get the feeling like this controller doesn't exactly cater to the tense players.
