Sign into bungie.net, on a profile that has your PSN or XBL Destiny account linked to it. Go to account settings, make sure you have a verified email address. And also enable the contact preferences (there are two of them).
That will ensure we have your email in our database and that you have given us permission to send you mail. Any time you wish to adjust your contact preferences, you can go right back there to change them.

Yeah.
But I've played so little (and zero crucible) that both of those numbers seem really high. 90% of my playtime last month was checking to see if the pulse rifle got a full auto roll from the gunsmith.

Not sure if that’s for Xbox, PlayStation, or both, though… I imagine my PS4 gate rate would be better than my XB1 rate since I didn’t start PS4 until I had the courses pretty well figured-out.
