First Curse (Destiny)
I can't do it. I can't get 7 precision kills in a game with that stupid awful hand canon.
How many people can play rumble? I'm seriously thinking of just being cheap on this one.

Regular Rumble has a max of 1, but 'Classic Free For All' is more (we did it with 3 the other night to help Funkmon, it's possible you can go in with 6).
If you can do it without cheesing, good on ya... but I think it's a dumb quest step, and have no trouble at all with folks who get around it. :)

First Curse
Yep. I've helped two or three people get it now.

Raga provides some of the best cheese around

I got Chaperone legit, so I think I can get a pass on this one.

Thanks for that, it was actually a lot of fun!
I love boosting with people in rumble. Whether its swords or first curse, it adds an interesting meta game within the rumble game. I mean, doing it regularly would make it fun, but on a very few occasions, it's really fun trying to get to the meet up spot and die, then accidentally killing the wrong guy and so on. It's a really good time.
I mean, how many of us tried to do this with Kilimanjaro on Midship? And the only reward was hearing the guy say it? It was a ton of fun, as long as it wasn't too frequent.

Chaperone legit is easy. This is hard.

If you need a +1, happy to help. Yell when you see me on.

You are better than I thought if you did Chaperone without ever uneqipping the last word and found it easy.

Do it for real.
It was tough as hell, but I did it legitimately. What I recommend is Sealed Ahamkara Grasps and Smoke set to the third one, traps. Find a place you can control where your enemy comes from. For me it was Blind Watch, the hall way people can drop in to from the level above. I put smoke on the wall and when they dropped in, they were trapped. I would take them out while they couldn't move. Rinse and repeat 7 times.

Lies! I am strictly anti-cheat.

SRL, Bro.

But, yes, I never unequipped The Last Word... So I win right. :)

Best I've managed so far is six.
Also, do the seven kill sprees have to be in crucible? I killed a bazillion enemies in patrol and that part didn't complete.

Do it for real.
7 kill spree can be done in PvE, find a line of thrall. I did mine on the the Moon. I hear the Sunless Cell just before the boss where 20 thrall run at you in a line is a good spot for it, too.

First Curse
I thought it was a limit of three...is it really possible to do six?
If so, then I REALLY need to get some Crucible quests out of the way, and there's no way I can do them legit.

Is it timed in PvE? Like, you have to get the kills within a quick span?

You're Lucky. Then Again, So Am I.
Before SRL, I was losing percentage even when TLW wasn't equipped. It was pure hell. Luckily I used the races to get past it.

I used the rasputin mission for those kills.

First Curse *Video*
I've described the strategy I used for you before, but here's the video in case it's helpful. I'd also be happy to jump into rumble with you any time if you want to cheese it.

I posted in your tip thread about it. Here's what I said
I did it normally and sometimes even with a 2.5 K/D I'd lose points. Overall it's pretty easy to have a 2.0, but the bounty is harder than that.
There is a string of games from 10-12 on September 17th 2015 when I did it. It took 2 hours, because I didn't employ any tips or tricks, I just played for k/d and less suicidally. Didn't go for multikills or anything. It was easy, personally. Again, all I did was try to die less.
You don't have to be so condescending, particularly since IDK if we have played together since Halo 2 or 3! I'm actually pretty good at the game. Just because I post on the forum about liking easy things doesn't mean I'm shit at Destiny. With rare exceptions, like the subject, I also don't state that my experience is the experience. For example, I personally found it moderately easy to go to the lighthouse, albeit stressful. I've done it a bunch of times. However, I'm never going to go on this forum and say that it's easy, cause it's fucking not. It takes a lot of work, communication, and knowing your team. So, I come on here and acknowledge it's a pretty rough task, and I don't boast about my prowess to make myself look better.
The vast, vast majority of the time, I take this game about as seriously as a hockey game with 10 year olds, that is, I literally couldn't care less about winning. A hard mode Oryx run with newbies where I know we won't beat him is exactly as enjoyable to me as a beautifully choreographed one with Disciple's Dream Team, as he called it.
On a personal level, I agree with you. If you find it important to do things as intended, then rationalizing to yourself that you did Chaperone legit is totally reasonable, and you can cheat on this one. That said, I do think it is a harder task, which is why I thought it would be fun to rile you up with that message.
I rationalize never being a sponsor on RvB by the fact that I buy their DVDs. They get more money from me as a sponsor, and buying the DVD on Amazon is cheaper, but over the years I've sunk like a thousand bucks to that company, so I'm never going to sponsor them despite liking RvB and RWBY and stuff. You put your time into Destiny, that task is wildly unfun, so use the methods built in to the game to get it.
So, in conclusion, I'm not that bad, and your thinking is reasonable.

TL;DW: Shoot guys in the head with the gun.

Me too.
I also got the PvP part by just picking a person on my team and following them around. Every time they started shooting someone I got a headshot in and stole their kill. It was a lot easier because I only had to time one shot for the kill.

Well you're a genius.

I have no idea. We tried it with 3, and it worked.
I said 'maybe'.

The guy that's completely against cheesing a long and repetitive part of a raid that we run every week wants to cheese a unique challenge...
Come on, man. :P

Raids are fun and challenging. This is boring and stupid. The raid is way more of a unique challenge.
Peaks and Cyber helped me out in free for all afterwards. I got my First Curse, and Cyber got his sword kills.

What's the cheese for the raid?

I did it legit... In Mayhem :p
But I never unequipped TLW.

He is specifically talking about blocking damage from the rooms in the prove your worth section. If you block it enough times, you stop taking it, negating the need to cycle players.

No fun! 4th best part of raid is race sniping the knight!

Blocking damage from the rooms...?
What does this even mean?

Swads

Okay, you don't want to answer. That's okay, I guess.

Okay, you don't want to answer. That's okay, I guess.
I think (and I could be wrong about this) that Cyber is saying you can use a sword to block the damage that kills players who stand in the side rooms... the damage that we typically survive by passing the aura back and forth. But this is the first I've heard of it.

SWADS

In the Basilica, where the rooms hurt you with their evil air. Sword-block the air-damage enough times (ten), and you stop taking damage, letting you stand under the totems, while the Aura-swappers can stand safely in the middle room without having to run back and forth. The cheese turns this lengthy process into a simpler matter of gunning down adds for five minutes, and you can even lose half the team (as long as the two under the Totems are alive).
It's actually an interesting way to do the encounter, since you have to keep the lone guy at each totem alive, while remembering to swap the Aura with the right person. Not entirely a cheese in the classic sense... But definitely not what Bungie intended.

Wow, I had no idea! (I thought he was referencing some PS4-group in-joke with 'swads' - I don't think I'd EVER have come up with 'swords' from that.)
Not 100% sure how that would work, though; if you let the aura expire, you're faced with not just that invisible damage, but also very real damage from stuff in the room (shooting at you and meleeing you, if you're using your sword for defense only). The sword block will keep SOME of it off you... but not all.
Someone told me that the sword block will also negate the Oculus if you aren't hiding behind a totem in the Warpriest room, but I've never tried this (or seen it tried). Safer, in general, since there aren't any other things shooting at you at that point.

Block the damage you take without the aura using the sword. Sorry, that was unclear.
Eye-opening.
Wow, so you NEVER pick up the aura. Not even the first time. Amazing.
Seems like it would be fun to try, just for the experience. ;)

Two of the four in the middle do, since that's how you gain the "Deathsinger's power" buff... when the aura's timer runs out.

It doesn't seem like a real cheese - just an alternate way of doing the encounter. The guys on the totems are on their own - which can be a real problem, for multiple reasons. Sometimes you miss your first couple of shots on the boomer knight. Sometimes you run out of ammo. You've got no backup in either of these events - I'd say 80% of all the ammo I pick up in this entire encounter is in the center room, so hoping that the adds in the sides drop enough to keep you going (and drop it near enough that getting off the totems doesn't kill your group) is a crap shoot.
Definitely sounds intriguing - but I wouldn't call it 'easy'. ;)

Eye-opening.
I've actually done this with a group I never play with a while back, and forgot about it.
It wasn't that fun.
If you want to do it on some raid in the future, I'll back you up and we can force everyone else to give it a go.
But yeah, swords block oversoul, Skolas taint, tons of stuff.
Chaperone legit is easy. This is hard.
God damn Funk. I miss playing Destiny just to listen to your nonsense.
