IB Rocket Launcher Roll (aka crap) (Destiny)
Rocket Launcher Guide via Reddit
This IB brought the Tormod's Bellows with the following roll.
Hard Lunch
Tripod
Quickdraw/Single Point Sling/Snapshot
Tracking
This sounds like a decent roll in general. But apparently this roll is actually a little jacked because of the hidden stats.
They point out on Reddit that the inventory size = 20. This grants the minimum amount possible of 2 rockets per brick in PvP unless you have a heavy/rocket boosting perk on your gear. Tripod just increases the mag size, not the inventory number.
So when you pick up a brick in PvP you'll only get 2 rockets every time unless you have a heavy boosting perk on your gear. This makes it pretty worthless in general for PvP.
Can anyone confirm this?
I always thought tripod helped boost the number of rockets, but apparently not.

Thanks for the guide.
Looks like I may have to start running Alchemist's Raiment if I want to use The Vertigo...

IB Rocket Launcher Roll (aka crap)
I noticed this recently on my suros launcher, which has excellent base stats but only 2 rockets even when I have rocket boots on. Of course Titans with the Cosmodrome helmet can use that with grenades and horseshoes far better then Tormunds's bellows with tracking.

Tripod ups rockets held by 1. Plus IB thoughts + vid
It kind of gives you a free rocket for your inventory, that's it. A tripod Smolder will hold 8, a normal one will hold 7, or 7 without heavy perk and tripod, 6 without heavy perk.
Related: just played a game of iron banner, the first high level crucible game I've bothered to play since they modified how they handle lagged players.
I had a lot of issues. 10 seconds of the game would go by regularly with me not seeing where people were going, I was losing a lot of fights without seeing the guys. I'm not going to bother anymore. Here's what my experience was like. It became very unfun.
At my parents house, when I play there, I really do have a lot more fun in crucible. My k/d increases by .5, everything does what it should, everyone goes where they are supposed to, and people die before I die. I found it tolerable at home though. It was worse, but all right. Now it's worse and not all right.
As promised, even if this change has nothing to do with why the game was unbearable to me, I'm still blaming it.

Increase the mag to 3.
If you have a rocket launcher that holds 1 in the mag then you'll get 3. Radegast's Fury was that way at least.

I'm talking about total capacity.

No Grenades and Horseshoes means crap roll, too.
In my opinion, if a rocket launcher doesn't come with the Grenades and Horseshoes perk, it's worthless in PvP.
In addition, because of the nature of how heavy ammo works, there's virtually no reason not the just swap to Truth before Heavy pops, use that til it's empty, and then swap back to your regularly scheduled exotic primary or secondary weapon, so any rocket launcher needs to be better than Truth for me to seriously consider it. That's... unlikely. I think The Ash Factory can roll with G&H, Tripod, and Javelin to make it better, but that's a perfect roll on an exceptionally rare drop weapon (I've had 1 drop, ever, and I PvP all the damn time).

This is actually pretty much where I stand on Rockets in PvP.
I use Truth on 3v3 matches and larger 6v6 maps. Otherwise I run a HMG. I do have an Ash Factory with Tripod, Snapshot/Heavy Payload, Grenades and Horseshoes that I'll run when I just want a point and shoot rocket launcher.
The suros rocket launchers just suck for PvP with the 2 round max you get on them. that's even with good rolls. just no point in using them over truth.

At least you caught my rocket kill frenzy. :)
I always forget to save clips!
