How I feel about Destiny now (Destiny)
by MacAddictXIV , Seattle WA, Thursday, March 03, 2016, 16:51 (3428 days ago)
Unless I'm doing something I haven't beaten yet (like the lighthouse). This is how I feel Destiny is being played.

I mean, he's not wrong.

Something that permeates almost all of Destiny is the time-gating of rewards and content. I get why they do it, but I don't like having that control taken away from me as a player.

That's why I like the Three of Coins thing. Sure, you're capped at 310 drops, but it's another way to continue the influx of gear from just "Playing The Game".
There are tons of more permanent (and logical) solutions, but until Bungle gets their stuff together, we gotta take what we can...

<venting>I've completed 15 successful Golgoroth Challenges to date (5 weeks x 3 characters). I've gotten nine pairs of 320 Boots, six pairs of 320 Gauntlets and zero 320 Chest pieces. Just one chest piece should have had a ~94% chance of happening by now, but f#ck Bungie. </venting>
Sorry about that. Were we talking about new content?

Oh what? You aren't swimming in new content made possible by the microstransactions? You don't say! Who would have thought?!

5 raids--beginning to end--including Vault and Crota--not a single weapon or armor piece. NONE.
Last night, I got my first exotic Engram--after twenty-eight coins.
I win!

At least you can get a group together :(

You're assuming each piece is weighted equally in the loot table, yes?

At least it's per account. Back in the day raids would be based on an amount of time since they were last killed on the server. Puke.
Ritual

I know the 1 loot per week is a weird thing, but it creates a nice loop and ritual of play. I really thought Errant signal nailed why that system works.

I just wish that the content could restand replay better though.
