How I'd remix The Kings Fall to be more approachable. (Destiny)

Yeah. I had so many unfinished King's Fall raids that I had to schedule my own raid and mock threaten everyone into helping me get one beginning to end run in. Maybe it's just longer and more complicated? Where almost everyone has to actually do something? Or maybe it's because there are fewer (or no?) ways to cheese it unlike "Vault of Shooting Oracles in Complete Safety" or "Crota's All Cheese All The Time" raids?

It's just so very very stinking long, and it smells like hive. The complexity of each encounter adds to this, but if it weren't so long a difficult encounter might not end the night. As far as pacing, it's paced well, just too much.

IMHO, if it were 2/3 the length it'd be a better raid. I sometimes think I'd prefer it split apart & have had two smaller raids, a shorter raid at just under 1/2 the length and the final raid at just over 1/2 the length.

The first smaller raid could have (major encounters bolded, minor italicized, cooldowns plaintext):

The second larger raid could have:

I dunno, maybe it'd be best to end w/ the Warpriest & continue on w/ Golgoroth, tho' ending w/ the Warpriest seems a touch small, & having the 3 big hitters (golgoroth, sisters, & oryx) seems like a lot, with most of the frustration falling on those encounters.

I suspect if bungie reused the portal, transept & oryx room the community would complain about them reusing/stretching assets to make 2 raids out of what should just be 1, but I still think it would be better. Maybe they could have pitched it as one massive raid in 2 parts to mitigate the entitled complaining.
