Just want to say thanks to the hardcore crew on the Xbox who accompanied me through my first Oryx hard mode (challenge mode even!). Despite my lackluster platforming skills, I did make a successful circuit to kill the last sister, and, more importantly, discovered definitively that paddles and jumping don't mix. I hope to continue to improve.
On the normal side of things, I thoroughly enjoyed helping Baghdadbean's friend RvBsniper through his first raid. He was a quick study--of course he had no shortage of teachers. I think we spent more time explaining than playing! ;) It was good to get my hunter all the way through a (very smooth) raid and I got my first raid helmet in the bargain. Fun times!
My only regret about last week was that Lawnmower (and Wu) didn't get to see us kill Oryx. (Shoutout to breitzen and squid for filling in at the last minute.)
I'd like to see the PS4 Deeply Flawed crew defeat hardmode soon, but I think we need to all get our light level in the 3-teens to pull it off comfortably. In other news, my baby titan is warming up in the bullpen.

I don't know if the bumpers aren't useful for jumps, but they have only certain positions in which they are useful. The main season you use the little paddles for jumping is if you're worried about aiming while jumping. Considering you have time to aim while on the platform and in the air, it's not as useful. Also, the important part of the jumping is jump timing, so that's when you want to do it in the most accurate way possible; that is, the button.
I'm glad you had a fun time on the 360, though. Wish I could have joined in.
