Kings Fall Difficulty and/or Gear given a level bump? (Destiny)

Mildly annoyed Bungie put in the time and effort to give King's fall difficulty + gear a level bump, but not VoG.

So, did they just increase the difficulty of Kings Fall? If so that sucks, I'm finally getting close to 280 with my bro-in-law (who seems to be getting a little burned out on destiny). If they raise the level of Kings Fall Normal then there's no way he's going to run the raid. If, on the other hand, they just increased the drops for Normal Mode, Hurray!

It *sounds* like they upped the difficulty just a bit - probably just by making the enemies be virtually ~310 light instead of 290 light (or something like that)... but that might just me the way I'm interpreting it.
