Epic fails of Destiny
I can't see the vids? Maybe just because I'm at work.

Epic fails of Destiny (Fixed)
Mod edit: Fixed in OP

Fix By Linking? *Figured out an issue*
Hope it works, Chrome's been acting a bit funky with gifv recently...
Edit: I noticed that even by linking, the link becomes "http://destiny.bungie.org/forum/i.imgur.com/5g9U3Zw.gifv" rather than "i.imgur.com/5g9U3Zw.gifv", and it breaks. Suspicious!

Well, I found I was prefixing with imgur.com/ which I'm not supposed to do. But even if you use the later code it doesn't show up in Chrome. I have no idea why. So I have to check in IE to see if it actually works for other people

It shows for the poster, but no one else
Dunno if I should blame some intern at imgur or Raga

Not so suspicious - it's because you left out the 'http://', so the links became local. (That's a standard HTML behavior.)
I fixed them for you.

Something changed on the Imgur side a few weeks ago; Beorn discussed it not too long ago. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix it, at this point. :(

I *HATE* GIFV
Okay… check MacAddict’s original post again. The videos should be working.
A little while ago, Imgur apparently decided that they didn’t want people embedding GIFV’s with <iframe>, so they changed their embedding policy to prevent that behavior. Note that there is zero documentation on their site about this change. Asshats.
They have a different method that uses JavaScript to replace a <blockquote> element. I’ve updated the site to use this method, but note that this will *only* affect new/edited posts going forward. Any older posts have already been parsed by the server into the <iframe> format, so those won’t work. And I’m pissed at Imgur, so I’m not going to spend my time today writing a script to parse old posts for gifv tags and convert them into the new format. I have real work to do.

Good man. You sir are better than Imgur.

Tell us how you really feel.
I was having a bad day as well. I am stuck doing some dumb stuff in early modern English that kind of forced me to go into a Latin dictionary to find antedates for Latin roots of English words.
But, something cool happened that lightened my mood! I opened it up, and saw a seal on the front page. It was donated to the university library posthumously by Keith Denning from his personal library, the VERY GUY whose work I was checking! I like to think he would enjoy that a student of his work is fact checking his research with his own personal dictionary, if he wasn't dead.
Still not sure if he's right or I'm right, it might be a semantic thing, but I think it was neat. Make sure to enjoy the little stuff in life as it comes!

Standard gameplay for me.

Epic fails of Destiny
In that last clip, I'm actually coming up behind your opponent trying to save you. Shortly after you fall off, I run him down and shoulder charge him.

I was wondering if he actually died after the shoulder charg. How did he live after the shoulder charge?

Hmm, now I don't remember if that was the guy that I failed to kill because lag + defender bubble kept him alive.

I just figured he shoulder charged off the edge over my head when I fell down. But as you can see in the video, I never saw him when I turned around.

Yep, he was definitely still alive after that.

Oh, wow
They have actually changed their entire embedding method so they can advertise themselves more prominently.
I'm impressed.
You rock.
Thanks for this. I hadn't even thought to look for new embedding code.
Oh, and...

Because of the pretty slick way that this forum handles processed code (imo - I didn't write it, I just like it), making Beorn's changes work for all older posts was pretty trivial (I needed to delete 75 entries from the cache table).
All old posts that (properly) use the forum's gifv code should show gifvs using the new embed code.

If you could work on the Cody to Kermit auto translator that would help me so much!

I totally forgot about that table. Thanks, Claude!
