So I got a Zen Meteor... (Destiny)
... It's awesome when it works, but it usually doesn't.
The timing required to activate the unique perk is super tight. Like you need to fire your 3 rounds almost as fast as the gun can physically shoot, and score a kill with each shot. And then you only have a few short seconds to use the bonus explosive shot before it expires. On top of that, I suspect the explosive rounds may be interfering with the primary perk, similar to how it screws up firefly (if your target gets killed by the explosive damage rather than your initial shot, it doesn't seem to count towards the main perk).
The only time I was successfully able to activate the perk was during Prison of Elders, when I hard-scoped a door and picked off the Cabal as they marched into the room. It was a perfect "fish in a barrel" situation, and the explosive bonus shot was SUPER satisfying. But I played through the new "quest" (lol) using Zen Meteor the entire time, and I couldn't get the perk to activate once. I found myself basing my entire playstyle around trying to setup situations to get the perk to activate, and I couldn't pull it off. I found it quite disappointing.
Seems to me like the gun's perk needs some tweaking to make it more practical.
Anyone else have one yet? Thoughts?

So I got a Zen Meteor...
That Fruit guy that the kids like to watch these days made a quasi-helpful video about it (seems to focus more on entertainment than information, as he spent two minutes shooting at small clusters in Patrol rather than applying it in actual PvE scenarios, then goes into PvP without a single example of the Proc).
Hopefully better videos start popping up, but my biggest interest in the weapon was Impact, which looks crazy high (how does it compare to Black Spindle?). And what's the Laserbeam explosion damage like? Can't wait to try it out during Specialist sections...
