Oryx is still a big smelly stinker. :) (Destiny)
I had a lot of fun last night playing through the Kings Fall again. The most difficult parts were PreWarPriest, Sisters, and Oryx. It is noticeably easier now that we're over 320, however you still must absolutely nail the mechanics on Oryx & the Sisters (although there is a bit more fudge room for poor DPS, but not much).
There's also still some wonky behavior. I did what I usually do when I'm on that side, walk off the back of the platform and feather my fall, only this time when I hit the hump button to feather I'm catapulted toward the ground. What the? Also, this is proof it wasn't the tombship, you can see I was nowhere near it.
Edit2: Any ideas on why I could have been catapulted toward the ground there? (when I hit the jump button at about 7 seconds into the clip).
Edit: Also, the loots were sweet sweet loots. I think most people went up 2-4 (+?) light points from this. I think I went up 3 and REALLY rounded out my possible high-light loadouts.

Interesting. No idea what happened there.

What's funny is there's a "corrupted" jump-boost sound that happens just as I hit the jump button.
Edit: Maybe I need to hang out on the platform w/ the relic a touch longer so that I don't transition from being torn to normal while I fall? I dunno, it seems the transition back to the normal realm & my attempt to feather coincided.

I really hate "fall damage" in Destiny.
Mostly because it's so inconsistent. Yes, getting flung by a Phalanx into a wall and dying from the impact is funny, but I feel like the ratio of legit/buggy deaths is way too high(low?) to justify it's inclusion.

I'm a fan of fall damage in games, but I want it to be consistent.
Yes, I died to fall damage, but it was because of a failure of the game to behave the way I expected. I didn't expect my jump button to accelerate me toward the ground. (I think maybe it had something to do with me transitioning away from being torn and lag making me transition later than usual.)

It got much much worse after the post TTK patch.
I used to blink through the first jumping puzzle with impunity, now I die every third thing I land on. Wu posted some clips where he just ran too hard and died. Korny punched a guy through the ground.
Whatever they did in that patch made me like it less. I used to think it was all right.

I really don't understand where you're coming from...

Seems pretty consistent to me... ;-P
:D

I laughed. After I gawked at that gorgeous shotgun, of course
Damn, Dead Orbit makes some pretty guns.
Looks like your guardian needs to go easier on the Cheetos.
