Awesome Haul Last Night! (Destiny)
I had an Oryx checkpoint saved up from earlier this week, and found some LFG'ers to do it with. It took quite a while to form a rhythm and convince half the members there that we were performing on Normal, NOT Hard...but in the end, it was worth it--at least in my case. I got what I'm pretty sure is the most items I've received in an Oryx drop! I got a 317 4th Horseman(dude!), 317 Darkhollow Treads, a 310 Thrallskin Drum, and best of all--Zaouli's Bane! A gun with Firefly and Cocoon can only spell complete happiness. I tried it a bit this morning, and after I watched the lethality of it and that reload?! I definitely made some Disapproved Destiny Noises©.
I cannot wait to fully upgrade that bad boy.

The PS4 CoE farming session was very productive as well.
Got a 335 Class Item, two 334 ghosts, four(!) Lord of wolves (one of which was 335), and a bunch of exotic engrams.
Not sure how many times we ran through it. Our fastest time was around 5:30.
Anyway, I'm 334 now :D

It was surprisingly fun too!
You'd think just "grinding" the same content over & over would be boring & dull, but it wasn't. I suspect this was because we had more than one group in the same party chat & we got to compare/race. Reminds me of the Nightfall 'racing' we would do back in Y1. I also think it was because it wasn't terribly difficult, Beer-and-pretzels Destiny if you will.

Rusging Challenge of Elders is pretty damn cool
TONS of adds spawn making it all much sweeter. Btw, running a Defender and a Nightstalker feels like cheating. So. Much. Damage.

Rushing Challenge of Elders is pretty damn cool
Should precision/small arms ever come up again, the Blessing Bubble + Touch of Malice strategy from Oryx can burn down the Servitor in seconds (before his first teleport).

I was loving Triple Tap on my 326 Hung Jury with Extended Mag. When DSPing the boss I felt like I would go ages without reloading. Seemed like I always had a +1 by my ammo counter. Seems like I would do about 4000 dmg per crit against the bosses. (the last boss required wepons of light for that much damage tho').

Yeah, I tried that. Worked pretty well, but for me I found it better to just stick w/ my Hung Jury. On my last run w/ Marmott & Slycrel we were able to burn him down before the first teleport w/o Touch of Malice (unless Slycrel was secretly using it).

Nope, using last extremity or hand of judgement scout rifle.

I don't get you hung jury lovers. I was doing ~6800 damage with WoL with my high impact scouts on that last boss. It was almost like having a primary sniper rifle.

I wonder how DPS goes when comparing both types

5500 per shot + 27 shots before reload + Faster ROF
:D

I was rocking Her Mercy, which is a slow firing Auto Rifle, and it was doing a nice 1k per bullet.

I was also not a titan and didn't get WoL near as much. heh

Weapons of Light+Saint-14+No Time to Explain
I liked to use Explain, too--but I had to be really careful around the Scarab Servitor. 311 vs. 330? Ain't happenin'.
I had to measure myself pretty carefully, and attack from the side.

+1 for HoJ
I've got perfect balance, snapshot, and firefly going on mine. It's fantastic. =)
It was surprisingly fun too!
Yep, beer and pretzels. That's totally the reason we wiped a couple times...

:-D
Well, after the first couple runs it felt much more beer & pretzels...
DpS is fairly similar IIRC
So whichever can keep firing the longest should win. Relative Magazine Size > Reload Time > Everything Else
