Rise of Iron Release Fireteam (Destiny)

by Revenant1988 ⌂ @, How do I forum?, Saturday, June 11, 2016, 17:52 (2927 days ago) @ Cody Miller

I made a fireteam event for September 19th.

The idea would be to play the strike, and the PoE challenge mode one time with whoever wants to do it. Then, we can tackle Rise of Iron together as it releases. No lone wolves. I had a good time doing Dark Below story missions with a fireteam. Anybody want to stay up late and play when it drops?

As for the raid, I do not know the release date, but I don't want to rush it. Who wants to sign the pledge?

I, ________, hereby promise to remain spoiler free for the raid in order to tackle it with Cody Miller and company in a reasonable time frame as determined by the fireteam, so as to enjoy the rest of the game and not have to rush through. I will not talk to anyone about the raid, watch videos of any kind, read descriptions, or learn any strategies.

Signed,

______

I'm looking forward to playing with the crew, and a few weeks of fun before I go back to complaining.

In my opinion Destiny was more fun when everything wasn't a rush.

There is so much pressure to blow through any new content that comes out that you don't really get a chance to savor it.

I didn't get -any- enjoyment out of TTK because of that mentality so I stopped playing. I fired Destiny up for the first time last night since December and it felt 'meh' at best.

I think going in blind is a good idea. I remember enjoying TDB content up until the point I played with DBOers who had already solved everything, and when we weren't solving other puzzles as fast as them the ultra hints took the fun out of it.

What I don't think is a good idea is trying to do it all day 1. Stay away from forums and game news sites. There is such a rush to post all the new hotness too quick.

IDK. Just my thoughts on it.
