I'd guess the discount code drops it down to $35 or something. Apparently $25, as many are pointing out.

…I’ll actually opt-out of personalization just in case it does look that bad. Based on that photo, I’m guessing that the on-demand customization is done with heat transfer rather than direct-to-garment printing, so each “name plate” would have residue leftover. :-\

Where's the discount code? Is it in the record book?

After you complete the record book, go to orbit. The game will direct you to https://bungie.net/triumphs, and from there, you can get your one-time-use code. Be sure to copy it down because you can’t get it back afterward.

Speaking of things not to do, don't get the record book if you have full emblems on the character.

Huh. I had full emblems, they went straight to the Postmaster. I'm wondering if that didn't happen here, too.

It's not only one-time-use, it's one-item-only. I tried to buy one shirt with a personalization, and one without, and the discount brought the total down to $77k. :)

I wonder if you could use my code for a 2nd shirt

by DiscipleN2k @, Edmond, OK, Thursday, July 07, 2016, 20:00 (3154 days ago) @ Claude Errera

Though I might be able to convince the wife that only paying $25 for a $777,777 shirt is a REALLY good deal, I don't think I'll be ordering one.

If you want to give it a shot, I'll shoot you an XBL message with the code.

-Disciple

Edit: Just noticed that the code page specifically says, "...and only available for you!" Still couldn't hurt to try, though.

I definitely appreciate the offer, and if nobody else wants one, I'll take you up on it - but I'd feel bad grabbing a second shirt when there are almost certainly people who won't finish the requirements that would like one.

I think the entire reason that this code business exist is because the accounts at Bungie.net and the accounts at the Bungie store are not linked in any way. I expect it might very well work then.

I don't normally go the elitist route, but my first thought was that the whole point was that you weren't supposed to be able to get one unless you'd met the requirements. But then I thought about how funny it would be to have the shirt with the one or two emblems you didn't get a chance to earn crossed out in Sharpie :p

So, if anyone who doesn't expect to complete their Year 2 Moments of Triumph wants the shirt, just let me know how to get the code to you and I'll send it your way.

That said, I just looked at The Mountaintop and I really don't want to do it. I think it would be nifty to protest Bingle's decisions by giving them money for making them.

One time an acquaintance of mine was doing a science talk at a local college. They charged admission. Anyway, a bunch of people didnt agree with his politics and staged a walkout. It was like 30 people. They walked out and after the talk when he was selling his books one came up to him and explained the protest.

"You all came to my talk to protest me?"

"Yes."

"And you bought tickets?"

"Yes, we all wanted to make sure we could have the largest possible effect."

"Well you really taught me a lesson."
