My friend Gabbi lives there. We like the exact same music, like a 94% audioscrobbler match. Anyway, she told me that Recife has all the good stuff of Rio de Janeiro but lacks the bad stuff. Like Brugge versus Antwerp.
Is this true or was she just trying to get me to go there?

I wouldn't know. I have never been to Recife, but it does sound pretty nice. It's in the "always rains at exactly 2pm" zone, so that should be fun.
I'm more of a Sao Paulo kind of guy, though. The food there is amazing.
