"Players will be able to pick up the quest to earn the new exotic Khvostov 7G-0X in several different ways. Similar to how players discovered last year’s Sleeper Simulant, players will periodically find Khvostov weapon parts as they explore Rise of Iron’s new Plaguelands zone. These weapon parts will be randomly hidden in chests or be random rewards for participating in the Archon's Forge battle arena.

Players only need to find one of these weapon parts, but when they turn it in to one of Rise of Iron’s new quest givers it will kick off a chain of events that eventually has players completing a new mission to retrieve the upgraded Khvostov. Alternatively, players can acquire Khvostov weapon parts by scrapping their original Khvostov, assuming they’ve hung onto one these last two years."

I still have my hunter scarf, Duke hand cannon, Preacher shotgun, Barron rocket launcher, Sparrow, Ghost Shell, both Ships (thanks someotherguy via Cody), and all my warlock armor (wish I had my original titan armor).

Interesting, I wonder what it means if you select 900 RPM but are using semi-auto? It fires faster that MIDA? Also I wonder how Bungie balances this weapon. It's an auto rifle that you can change to a pulse or scout by swapping perks. Does that mean that in scout mode the range will be better or will the auto rifle range nerfs still apply?

I also think keeping the original is dumb because it doesn't look like the cool rusted-out heap you see in the cut-scenes, and is only marginally different from the refurbished version, but w/e.

I only kept my very first, and that's not going anywhere. It pretty much confirms that I'm going to delete my Hunter, though. You should delete a character too, to grab that Hunter scarf.

GI mentioned in the big magazine article that unfortunately the RPM will only affect it when it's in Auto mode.

Sounds like you only need one to start the questline though. Good thing I've got 3... ;)
