Hopefully I can get on. I've been waiting around all day for an Air Conditioner repair person that will show up who knows when?

I don't say too much around here I hope. Lurkers gotta lurk.
I don't often join DBO Fireteam Builder events, let alone create one. I'm not the leader type. I don't have the best, most stable schedule. I don't have all the tools (I'm the guy that asked "WTF is an LFG?" many months ago) or all the in depth strategies needed.
With one fragment to go I knew I was going to have to take this into my own hands or possibly miss out on "completing" Year 2. I somehow or another "completed" Year 1 and knew I couldn't skip "finishing" Year 2.

I couldn't have finished Year 1 without the kind help of folks on DBO. I joined a Fireteam Builder event to complete Crota on Hard difficulty. I think I joined an event or joined a DBO member on my friends list to beat Skolas on Hard difficulty. At the time, as always I was under leveled and under-geared, I don't even think I had even been able to beat Skolas on Normal (maybe it wasn't even an option?) It took forever and was frustrating. The Support (DBO folks), the strategy, and the sherpa'ing were key to me beating Skolas.

The same was true for Year 2, it required the generous help from folks on DBO. I apologize for my awful schedule. I had the event open all week and pushed the time back (Central Time) later and later repeatedly every day, including Friday. Our AC went out Thursday late afternoon, it was miserable. I wasn't able to call for service until Friday AM and everywhere I called was booked out for the day. One place said they could send someone out afterhours ($$) but didn't know what time that would be. I needed to get the AC fixed before the weekend. I had my Fireteam Builder Event scheduled for 8pm and the AC repair person finally arrived at 8:15pm! AH!
Had to push the time back more than once on the fly and yet DBO folks were still there for me willing and helpful to get me my last fragment!

Kermit is the MVP. He graciously let me join his various prior events to beat Oryx on Hard difficulty. We did it finally, it was a grand spectacle to behold. This time Kermit joined my ragtag event and he even brought the checkpoint! My helpless Fireteam Event with no checkpoint, most people would probably tell me to pound sand. I owe Kermit big time.
