He has the same issue (Destiny)
He's said on a couple of occassions that he sometimes feels he's expected to be the Internet's attack dog, especially when it comes to reviews. I think subjects like (F**)Konami and Quantic Dream are probably ones he goes back to because they're popular, rather than because there's anything left to be said about them.
Largely though (imo) I think he sticks to consumer advocacy and the topics he really cares about - Industry bloat, pre-orders, microtransactions, that sort of thing. Also Boglins for some reason. He also (somehow) managed to steer largely clear of the whole GamerGate thing, which I think is quite impressive for someone who is mostly known for pseudo-angry rants.
His smaller stuff like Squirty Plays don't really do it for me (Im not really one for Let's Plays), but they do at least show internal consistency in his opinions when he gets talking, and he's always more than willing to highlight a great game when he finds one. He's largely credited with bringing at least ome Greenlight/Kickstarter game from the brink with his more positive coverage.
