Courtesy of Target, which gives it a certain air of authenticity...

Looks weird, and I don't know if that $80 price tag is a placeholder or what, but a sweet deal nonetheless...

Still, Target's makes it a lot more legit than it actually looks. Weird.

I love the DS4 so much, and if I can get that with the build quality and feel of the Xbox Elite controller, I'm sold.

I wonder who is making this.

Features:

  • - Bluetooth control
  • - Rubberized housing for firm grip
  • - Compatible with Xbox Elite Controller accessories
  • - Charges with included 9’ braided cable
  • - Fully customizable buttons and triggers
  • - Interchangeable Back Paddles with 2 preset configurations
  • - Preset 1: paddles emulate the front buttons
  • - Preset 2: paddles emulate RB, LB, RT, and LT.
  • - Keep your fingers on the thumb stick while executing intricate moves
  • - Magnetic! Easily attach and remove paddles without any tools
  • - Compatible with Xbox One paddles for added flexibility

I didn't look at the listing initially and just assumed it was actually Sony making one. But they wouldn't make the parts interchangeable with the Xbox version, and, now that I think about it, they definitely wouldn't use the Elite moniker either.

Still, if the quality is there, I'd be interested.

Are we just going to ignore the fact that there are blatantly photoshopped xbone elite controller parts on display here?

The more I look at it the more it looks like an xbox controller.

The most fake thing about it is the price.

How did you get this in the Target system Korny?

My chronusmax thingie that had enabled me to use my elite controller on the PS4 stopped working a while back, and realizing that the PC-only software that supports it had been removed from my work computer, I decided it was best not to install it again. Coincidentally, yesterday I got it barely working with virtualization software on my mac, but wasted almost the whole day messing with it, and it still doesn't work after getting the scripts and newest firmware loaded. It took a lot of research to get that far, and I noticed the devs pride themselves in never touching a mac. I wonder if they've touched a computer loaded with anything more recent than Windows 95. Their software is a craptastic mess. It's interface is horrible and completely unintuitive. From their tacky packaging to their confusing white-text-on-black-background web site, I get sense they're the kind of aesthetically challenged arrogant tech-heads who, in the early days of the web, got a kick out of writing off mac users as dumb hippies who probably shouldn't be using computers to start with. I'm done with them.

You're absolutely right. For whatever reason, that didn't even enter my mind last night. I'll chalk it up to not paying much attention late at night after a long weekend.

The Eilite is a xbox product. This ps4 version would be canon fodder for the Microsoft legal team.

I wish this was real.

You said it, brother. I ended up returning mine and going with a Scuf controller. I really like it, but the Elite is still loads better. If this is real, I may be selling a gently used Scuf...

Edit: Just read some of the other posts and yeah, it's fake. :(

Might be fake...

by Claude Errera @, Tuesday, September 06, 2016, 15:52 (3000 days ago) @ Korny

...but it's Target; the risk of credit card fraud is pretty low. I ordered. :)

Worst that happens is they refund me after they tell me it's a screwup.

I'm surprised. Did you ever buy the regular Elite? I know you missed a sale not long ago.

If you do get one, please post your impressions.

I got one a few weeks ago, immediately pulled off all four paddles, stuck a tall stick on one side, and tried it out. Love it - feels great, actually stays powered with the cord, has bumpers that don't bug me.

Found it for $130, so a little bit of a discount. Totally worth it. Someday I might even put the paddles in. :)

I love it, too. Gave up on the paddles, though. I also stuck a tall stick on one side.

Just use a single paddle for Jumping. That right there is the biggest game changer IMHO. I'm rocking the taller rounded stick on the right also.
