Bungie has not come anywhere close to honing that craft at all. Just the other day I made a post about how the "story" bar was literally lying on the floor, and Taken King maybe lifted it a foot or two off the ground. For the record, I loved me some Taken King.
That's kinda disappointing. A few meters off the deck is still a whole lot more exciting than having your launch aborted entirely, like the original story was for me.
