I just finished up playing through ODST again on the MCC a few weeks ago.

How does it hold up?

(Also reading up on Halo 5... perhaps, sir. Perhaps.)

Honestly, it feels just as good as the day it released. The city atmosphere is still great. Dancing around brutes is still fun. Coming across a ghost in the city and managing to steal it is still thrilling.

Adore the game. Forgot about the ODST truck.

Speaking of trucks, been day dreaming about the ODST Warthog. Changing the angle on that thing in 3rd person really made it feel great.

Still my favorite Halo

I just loaned a copy to some friends who are making their way through the Halo oeuvre for the first time. They just finished Halo 2, so I suggested they play ODST before Halo 3. It's like an interlude in the arc of the MC - and simulates (in a small way) having to wait several years to find out what happens!

A small part of me wishes I could just play through them without any prior knowledge. It would be so glorious. Like binge watching a great show that has already finished.
