The raid is cool (No Spoilers) (Destiny)

...and also the most lucrative. That was the consensus the PS4 DBO crew arrived at. We made it up to the final fight (we think), but fatigue prevailed and we decided to call it for the night.

For me personally, It's way better than King's fall. Not sure how it stacks against VoG yet, will have to sleep on that.

I look forward to finishing the thing when I get back from my holiday in 3 weeks. :D
(I'm sure you'll all be way higher light then me by then, and can carry me :P)

The tempo is really good. We never had a dull moment.

Some of my best moments in Destiny occurred during this raid.

When we made tower runs halfway through the raid, I had seven legendary Engrams just from the rewards, two of them Sublime (everyone seemed to be guaranteed a couple of Sublimes), and a boatload of Blues.

And that's not even counting the drops, or what I could have gotten if I had chosen to use my SIVA keys (which, by the way, are a massive improvement over Moldering Shards).
If you run the raid on Hard, with a handful of Keys on you, prepare to drown in Legendary loot.

A lot of people were complaining at how quickly it can be beaten, but I think having a short raid is a nice change of pace from the frustratingly-long Oryx raid. What's more, my big fears were allayed, as most of the raid involves coordination, communication, and everyone doing their part (pretty much everyone felt vital throughout). Not only that, but you can adapt on the fly, and people can take up each other's roles fairly easily, and you often have breather moments mid-encounter that let you regroup and re-strategize, which is great.

I love that the mechanics were easy to figure out, but executing them well was the real challenge. And heck, I don't feel like we figured out one section of the raid, but I imagine that we missed out on some good fun (we'll have to see!). That's all I'll say about that one, though...

It'll be a darn shame to finish without you... "I need an extra Cyber on the right!"

This has me excited to raid again!

The Server room area bothered me a lot, because for being such a large and complex area, there sure was very little do do in it.
Turns out that you can encounter Randal the (ridiculously high-health) Vandal there...

Well done, Bungie...
