Got burned out but back in the game for ROI (Destiny)

Got really really burned out with Taken King, neither the husband nor I even did the raid. I was just underwhelmed by the whole thing which lead to not playing for months and months.

The new ROI though has me very happy and playing again. I love The Iron Temple and it feels very much like home. Someone mentioned it leaned more twords the 'fantasy' element of the game which I was really missing, and it nailed that for me.

Played for several hours yesterday and was pleased with everything from the new weapons I have been trying out to the Plaguelands and the new Splicer enemies, albeit they're just reskinned, but it feels just different enough to make me happy.

Got stuck a little bit with Archon's Forge but quickly figured it out, should be pretty cool once some major bugs are patched. I really liked Court Of Oryx so I'm hoping this eventually is just as good if not better.

I liked the story missions a lot last night, and as I'm off most of the day tomorrow, I'm going to spend it running strikes and getting used to some new primaries.

As Crucible is usually my favorite I'm going to spend the next month or so jumping back into it and getting my ass kicked because I'm rusty as hell. After that hoping to do some more Crucible nights because I really enjoyed that with everyone.

Looking forward to running the new raid eventually and getting back into playing with some DBO'ers.

Welcome back. I was the same, but I did play the Raid. And Halo has kept me hooked. I did get RoI and have enjoyed it so far, still seems like not enough content to keep me happy, but it will be nice to MIX games again and enjoy the parts that Bungie does so well.

This is true! We're still flawed, but we certainly know what to do.
