The key seems to be to keep far enough away that shotgunners have to run to you, and in supremacy everyone seems to shotgun, so they are always running right at you, which makes things much easier aim wise.

I also dipped my toe in trials, and it seemed more effective there as well. Not that I got more then one win, but round to round it worked better then the shotgun.

I'm not sure how they do at the highest levels currently, but FR can do some serious work. They basically neuter shotgunners.

I've been loving my fusion rifles lately. I need to work on my accuracy tho', I'll find I often leave an opponent with just a sliver of health. I'm getting better at quickly swapping to my HC to finish them off w/ a body shot, but I'm not always quick enough.
