Tricked Sammy into getting online (told her that we were running Iron Banner) after Speedracer suggested that we should do a raid during our Iron Banner runs. We thought we could go ahead and get a few loot drops, and maybe a checkpoint to the final area if we hurried (some folks had to get off soon). Turns out, we were able to beat the raid and complete the Exotic quest steps in an hour and twenty-four minutes total, with only a single, deliberate wipe at the very end.

I missed the first part, but I thought to capture clips of our run, which might be able to help some teams if they've been struggling (we recovered from some bad strategies once or twice).

The Archpriest:
Pretty straightforward. You can see Sammy and I communicating without blame or yelling! (that had already happened during the initial part of the raid, before she finally picked up a Supercell from the first chest and was henceforth pacified). The big thing is to not dawdle with grabbing/throwing the SIVA charges, and making sure that you communicate clearly which door is open as soon as possible (unless you're Argent, who doesn't fear death because Warlocks).

The Siege Engine:
Starts with Speedracer murdering Argent, only to vehemently deny it (camera doesn't lie, Speed). The Siege engine is neat, because there are a couple of ways to play it out, and we botched the "easy" way. Also, the video glitches out, so you only get to see the end result of Cruel's mostly-terrible Fist of Havoc. Also, Speedracer getting back onto the engine at the end is priceless.

Aksis, Part 1:
You can hear us debating on whether or not we should bother doing the next part of the Raid after learning some basic binary (I can count to five!). In the end, we decided to play it safe and at least secure a close checkpoint.

Aksis, Part 2:
The longest part of the raid, I wasn't able to fit it into the fifteen-minute limit of the saved films, but since the strategy is identical throughout, you're not missing much besides banter (and the one early wipe). I don't think we bothered with the Empowerment/Supercharge strategy at all, so keep that extra buff in mind if you're still having a hard time. Note how we repeatedly state that we're not going to use the Null cannon, only to see Speedracer use the Null cannon. Remind anyone of anyone else?

Anyway, that was a fun run, and I was able to pick up the entire armor set in a single go (sans class item), thanks RNGesus, for finally shining down some fortune on poor Korny! Good times all around! And good luck to the teams who are still tackling the challenge...

I'll politely refer you to approximately 12:05 in the video, where I ask to make sure that we are saving the cannon - wherein you, Kornelius Munkerson yourself, say "shoot the purple, just the purple". ;-)

Also, I gotta say, I'm very disappointed that you didn't record the part where in the pre-game lobby someone made fun of you, and then Sammy came to your defense (surprising some of us), and then I said something along the lines of "oh yeah, Sammy isn't mad at him yet, so we can't give him crap until he's no longer on her good side... give it 5 minutes" -- and then 90 seconds later when she realized it was a raid and not IB, she started swearing at you and we all said, "there it is... it didn't even take 5 minutes."

That was my favorite part. :-)
