Ok, but... (Destiny)

That's an amazing article, but the way the game play is, I honestly had no time to actually look at the creature and what it looked like during the final encounter (I had no idea it's neck protrusion was a weak spot). You're given an axe, and I spent most of the time running around from fire to fire to refuel it.

If they really want me to see the Mutant Iron Lord, maybe give me the shortest of cut aways to show the enemy I'm about the face. (Thinking like the short one before the black garden).

Titanfall 2 has a great solution to this problem (which it borrowed from Shadows of Mordor). When you encounter a boss enemy for the first time, the gameplay stops for a moment and the camera zooms way in on the boss while they throw some trash-talk at you, so you have a few moments to get a nice detailed look at them before all hell breaks loose. Gears of War has always used similar tricks as well.
