Interest-free loans (Destiny)

It's been a good three or so years since I preordered anything months out, but isn't it usually the case that most retailers won't charge you until your product is very close to shipping? If money isn't leaving my account until, at most, a day or two before a game launches, then no, I'm not being used as an interest-free loan.
Surely some here have preordered Destiny 2 already. Have any of you been charged yet for your preorder yet?
