I took their advice at "tune out now"

Thanks for the link.

I guess I'm just not up to the old Bungie blather podcasts. Feels like my time is being trolled.

I actually enjoyed listening to the people who poured their heart into this project these past few years; I still don't know where they've landed (I know next to nothing about Destiny 2), but I'm confident that they're in a good place right now.

This is the Bungie I missed. I hoped they were still there somewhere. This feels like a real conversation, which is more than can be said for any of the post-Halo THABs or the Twitch streams.

Worth going back and listening to the archive?

Haha, sorry, wasn't intended as a brag of course. I'm incredibly thankful to have been invited, and the hype is unreal right now :P

Currently trying to cram my entire week of Masters degree classes into 2 days so I can enjoy the trip haha.

Always been around, never signed up for some reason.

Finally! Only took 3-and-a-half years.

Didn't expect any details, but what I did get was a sense of their mood, which was more than enough to get me excited. It's funny, nine years ago I wasn't a big fan of Luke Smith in podcasts--he was too snarky for my taste, but the years have softened one or both of us I guess. I thought he did a great job at the Bungie PAX panel before Destiny came out, and this Luke was more of the same: funny, humble, and grateful for the opportunity to do what he does. Mark and Eric also did a good job of letting me know how they were feeling about where they are right now. It's all I need or expect.
