Because it's a seagate and they are bad. Not as bad as WD, but not as good as Toshiba or HGST.

Not to poop on your attempted brag, but as far a small I know, consoles only support up to 8TB of External storage (unless that's just the PS4's cap), so nothing bigger is of any use...
