Funny story: on my first listen I fell asleep (that's not a knock--it was very late), but I woke up to "shout-out to Kermit." About Astros--the main reason I abandoned them was, after having one problem after another, they fell apart. Rather than spend that kind of money on a new set I decided to go for something I'd always wanted anyway for music: high-end headphones, and began seeking ways to use such headphones for gaming. Right now modmic works for the mic (although I need to summon the courage to superglue the magnetic clip to my headphones--the standard adhesive wears out).

Yes, I also went w/ the ModMic (as I had a set of headphones I really like). I've been pretty happy with them, thanks for saying they're alright Kermit.

The only downside is you have twice the cord to deal with, but they're strapped together so it's no biggie. (I do wish the mute switch was lower on the cord, so you could see it w/o taking the headphones off).
