Is that really an issue? Someone who ordered one of the special physical editions is likely going to want to keep that anyway, and of you preordered anywhere else, you can just cancel or have whichever store you preordered at transfer it to this bundle.

I don't know how much of an issue it is, but I remember a lot of people wondering why there were no hardware bundles announces when they announced the D2 game price/packages and expressing apprehension about deciding before those are out. Considering there is nothing uniques about this console and they'd are essentially just doing a game pack-in, yeah I think they could have gotten this announced earlier.

(Also, I'm sure a week before beta is the time people want to be moving around orders.)
