D2: Nova Bomb absorbs enemy fire? (Destiny)

by Beorn @, <End of Failed Timeline>, Tuesday, July 18, 2017, 16:08 (2772 days ago)

Either this guy couldn't hit me because he couldn't see me through the sphere of Void Death that was coming at him, or the Nova Bomb was absorbing all of his fire as it approached. I'm inclined to think the latter because I don't see any tracers passing by me… Anyone else see this?

Nova Bomb acts like Axion Bolt from what I can gather. The initial large Nova can be destroyed and has a large pool of HP. The smaller Nova discharges take slightly more damage than an Axion Bolt to destroy. So technically, it is absorbing damage, but only so much.
