FIXED: Warlocks now have the same Melee Range as all other classes
With the exception of where perks directly increase their range, Warlocks will punch like the rest of us. Our PC friends will get a chance to experience a world with consistent base melee ranges. So will the rest of you, when the game launches.
Wait, was this a thing in D1? This is new for D2, right?

It was very much a thing in D1! Warlocks’ base melee was always much longer ranged. In December 2015 Titans got a 12.5% boost to their melee range and it was still a good bit shorter ranged tha a Warlock’s. Especially the Arc Warlock’s charged melee.

Right, I was just wondering about the warlocks uncharged melee being @ arms length... it wasn't like that in D1 was it, it was still ranged, like shotgun range +, yes?

...also...
FIXED: Infinite Super Glitch
Infinite Supers are all well and good until someone loses an eye.
I understand why this was done, but I'm sad I won't be able to experience infinite Arcstrider. Tried as I did I couldn't get the glitch to happen during the beta.
Bummer.

The tempo wasn't the only thing Warlocks could push…

With 50+ cutscenes to choose from, I am looking forward to cutting a video game movie trailer for Des2ny next month.
When I post it here I hope DBO tweets it out! I can't remember if I posted the mirror's edge one… probably not since it has no views.

Hope you don't mind a little friendly competition! I was planning on doing one too! I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

If I were you I'd use the cutscenes as they are posted to the Library. I will upload them in 5.1 surround, which makes it way easier to isolate voices.
I want to see what you come up with too!

Sweet. How are you capturing the surround sound? You use BM products right?

Yes. More and more of their cards support this. The Intensity 4K is pretty inexpensive and can do up to 8 channels over HDMI. I've been using a Decklink card that is no longer supported by the new drivers, so I may need to upgrade.

It got a bit weird there in the middle, but it rapidly picked up pace again. Well done.
Great stuff, Cody. I actually buy that as a movie trailer.
I know nothing about this game's plot, but now i sort of do! That was fun.
You inspired me to write some (inside) jokes:
Notes from the studio execs just came in:
- First the title: Mirror's Edge: Catalyst? Catalyst for what? Also, that's too much of an SAT word for our target demo. Change. Our focus groups show "Edward Snowden's Prism" polling well.
- Not sure about asian lead. See if ScarJo is available and recast/reshoot. We like the look though, so maybe add a part of a math tutor or bad cab driver for this girl (note from PIC: HA! CABBIE YES)
- These stunts seem very Jackie Chan. Check with legal to make sure not copyrighted. Also saw that crane in Bond film. Reshoot that scene on an airplane wing instead; way more intense!
- Explosions.
- What did she steal? Some floor lint? Add one of those matrix hacking screens or something. You do computers, make it look cool like Mission Impossible hacking, not dumb like Mr. Robot.
- Need to see surprise cameo talent in trailer.
- Focus groups wanted to know if she was broken or not. Need to clear this up in trailer.
- Not sure right fade timing on 3rd one. Try 2 frames slower.
- Contract says we need 12 seconds of Mountain Dew placement in trailer. Please fix.
- Overall too bright. See if you can't darken the whole thing and give it that Zach Snyder feel. Also Christopher Nolan. Also Vin Diesel.
- Think I saw lip-flap during combat sequence. Fix.
- Need to add lots of tats to girl to make convict story believable. Use half of gfx budget for this. (note from PIC: NECK TATS)
- Need new cuts by 6pm friday so we can view Monday, thx.

I'm sure you've seen worse :)

Looks great after 1:30 (besides the over-the-phone-sounding "I'm not broken" line that I think takes away from the earlier line), draws on long enough to lose attention by that point, and there's a frame at the :06-:07 mark that snuck into the transition. Not too bad, though.
I hope you do make a trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn, though. Tons of directions that you can go with it.

That's too bad. I considered this pretty brisk actually. Thank you for your feedback.

Because the screen's fading to black, it pops in.

The problem is that it starts focusing on character interactions and goes on to describe not only the one mission, but how other characters feel about Faith being on the mission, and then showcases different stages of that one mission. Of course, that ends up being the catalyst to the plot (lol), but people watching a trailer don't know any of these characters, so they don't really need to know about their early defining character traits and interactions. At least not all of the characters. That time could have been showcasing the antagonist's perspective or something, since most of the trailer just reiterates on the "these guys are bad news!" dialogue without viewers seeing anything about them.

Isn't that the best way to get people interested in the characters? Learn quickly who they are and what they are about. People don't ultimately care about the gears of the plot that much. They care about the people turning those gears!

Hard to do any of that without spoilers. Can only work with what the game gives me. And to be honest, the game gives you shit.

Once I looked at this image on other screens, it's far less noticeable than on the laptop that I caught it on. Must be a brightness/contrast thing, because on the laptop it's very obvious, but on my work computer and phone it's far less noticeable and dark.
Still, it's a thing that's there...
