Stupid Question: How do i add friends on Battlenet? (DBO)
I clicked on "add friends" in the battlenet app on my PC, and started typing in names from the PC clan roster, and every time, the send request button is greyed out.
I think i'm typing in the correct names, b/c in the roster, it lists a name, and then underneath is is your bungie name. For instance, on the roster, it shows my misspelled Battlenet name (b/c of character limits) but then shows my full bungie name underneath it.
does anyone else have this problem? can someone like Xenos (XenosKB) or Beorn confirm that their battlenet name is correct on the clan roster?
Not a stupid question… Beorn#1403
I was just asking Xenos and Speedracer how to do this same thing. The Battle.net Friends list is a little weird: you need to enter the whole name, including the unique ID number. I'm Beorn#1403, for instance; search for that and you should find me.

Seriously, though, Blizzard. What the heck.
TO think: Someone Somewhere got their name with #1337

Mac though, so no Destiny 2 beta. I do hop on to play SC2 coop sometimes though (especially while I'm away from my xbox).

O.o... D2 Beta plays just fine on my Mac... You mean you didn't put Windows on it yet?

Despite being fairly confident my processors and whatnot weren't enough to play the game, I downloaded the open Beta anyways and it worked just fine. Kinda choppy, but definitely playable. Not going to pick up the actual PC edition of the game, though.
Try piracy.
Or, convince your IT guy where you work that you need Windows and to give you an Enterprise key.
Battle.Net Questions
For modern Battle.net, is it a client like Steam? Or just an always on sign in method? How are the numbers selected? Does the character limit include the numbers? I haven't touched PC Gaming since... Halo 1 PC. So it's all new to me.
Just in case.

Just in case.
1) It's yet another client like Steam
2) The numbers are randomly(?) assigned to you when you first sign up
3) The character limit does not include the numbers, but it's still way too short
You can use any name you want
Everyone just gets a random number assigned to the end for uniqueness. In your friend list you don't see the numbers. It's nice because you don't have to care if someone else uses the battle tag that you chose.
Geeze. If I do join, by now it's going to be #123456789^E2

Even though my PC runs the game much better than expected, I probably won't end up getting it on PC unless/until I get to upgrade to one of those sweet liquid cooled Vega 64s (because I am unashamedly an AMD fanboy).
Also, I can't aim for crap with a mouse. I may need to drop my sensitivity to 1.

When did you sign up?Are numbers unique or just random sets?

I think they are just per-name
I'm pretty sure they choose a random number to add to your "Battle Tag". Previously they used a system (called RealID) where you used people's email addresses, but they got rid of that in favor of this system so your email address is not exposed.

It's about damn time! I missed out since I was playing the 360 port, so never got a chance to get into Rise Of Iron when it came out.
See you starside!
