*SP* Major spoiler + speculation here and in OP (Destiny)
Sounds about what I expected... More of the same. They want people playing more over time, and giving a treadmill of progression staged weekly in order to do it. Over both PvP and PvE.
So this has me wondering what the raid is like, light-level wise. I'm guessing it is doable partially at 280, and 290 is recommended for the last boss, with rewards that go between 290 and 300 (and roughly 5 LL's above where you are currently, probably with a 280 minimum)
Again, I am left questioning why they would release the raid so early. You will have 2 week's worth of weekly upgrades, assuming you finish week 2's weeklies previous to the raid, and will have to be pretty scientific about it. You have to grind and farm to try and do the raid at release time. For all of their "fixing" farming, to do a blind raid in a timely manner, it seems as though you need to do the opposite of what they are pushing as "fun" to get there.
I hope I'm wrong.
And please take note, most of the angst here is due to the raid release schedule. I expect to greatly enjoy the content leading up to that activity, I'm just annoyed at the timeline. And, due to the timeline, I won't be playing for "fun" as much, I'll be playing to gear up. That makes me a little sad.
