Any word on how character importing will work? (Destiny)
Luke said there would be "something" for players of Destiny 1, with a slightly different opening. Any word on whether that's per character (class?) or per account?
I want to play as a Warlock for the first time through, but as that was my Xbox main, I never did make a Warlock when I made the switch to PS4.
I'm just wondering if we are going to import our specific guardians, or just our collective accounts for determining whether we're previous players.
I suspect they haven't talked too many specifics about that, but just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Word is that the new Bungie Podcast has info
Haven't listened to it yet, so I can't confirm, but that might have what you're looking for.

Thanks!
I hadn't seen that there was a new Bungie podcast yet. I'll give it a listen later today.

- The Podcast says that the carry over is account based.
- Replacing a character because you don't like their face should be a non-impact.

What exactly carries over? Just the character itself? And it seems you are saying we don't have to do a damn thing?

From the responses to this question that I have read elsewhere from people already playing, it seems that if you choose your existing character you will go straight into the game. If you choose to create a new character then you will go to the character creation screen.
Rewards for returning players are account based, so you don't miss out on anything if you start with a new character.

From Reddit:
Also worth noting that it seems nothing has changed with the character creator. All of the options are the exact same as Destiny 1.
So if you like your D1 Character, just jump in. THERE IS NOTHING NEW.
