I like it. I've been using it on pretty much all yellow barred targets. It seems more effective than heavy weapons to me, or better put - I am more effective with it than the heavy weapons I have tried so far. Makes me concerned that it will get nerfed.

Short Vers Thoughts: It's like a shotgun with options. I like it.

My personal jury is still out on how effective it is, but I have loads of fun with it :)

Use the Coldheart against a Taken witch to capture her, then throw one of the grenades underneath her that creates the "cone of damage" upwards. Cut to the emote of everyone pointing and giving thumbs up.

I haven't done much with my titan yet to see, but I am wondering if Actium War Rig works with Coldheart. AWR reloads autorifles automatically. For infusion purposes, Coldheart is an autorifle.

I have both and now I have to test this....

I don't remember it doing this. I pretty much haven't taken off the War Rig.

Regarding Coldheart:
+ high potential damage
+ predictable recoil
+ solid audio queues
+ fun
o appears that damage boost is not based on target but damage dealt
- severe recoil
- sighys are kinda awkward
- what hip fire potential?

It is great on Arc shields, burns them quick with a pop, so long as the target isn't erratic. It greatly loses value whenever a target is mobile, less predictable, or has a small crit spot. That initial recoil impulse is consistent and so you can account for it. It seems to keep up high output even when switching close proximity targets. The damage drop off on misses and if you release the trigger is steep. It's neat. I'd be interested in seeing more trace rifles.
