Things I love about D2 (Destiny)
Now that I've finished the campaign I feel I'm ready to share some of the things I like about Destiny 2. I'm going to keep my criticisms to a minimum.
- The new Director.
- - Going to orbit is not a thing anymore.
- - Marking waypoints in the director.
- Starting missions & adventures right from ... [patrol?]. Patrol is "gone" or is "everything", I dunno, it's so much more seamless.
- The grind is much improved. I did the adventures & public events as I came across them. I hit lvl 20 & ✦200 before the campaign was over.
- Gun rolls are GONE! Thanks so much for this Bungie. I have long lamented the random rolls of perks on guns.
- Loot Caves... er Lost Sectors.
- High value targets that drop chests
- Public events are marked in the director.
- Fast Travel.
- The areas are gorgeous. Much improved over D1. Not to say D1 was bad, it was pretty too, but D2 is better imho.
- Character interactions are better. When talking to NPCs I've often felt I was in an RPG (this is mostly a good thing).
- I love that there are vendors/NPCs in the wild. Awesome.
- Improved Storytelling, the TELLING of the story was so much improved. (Though, I wish it were deeper & more complex.)
- That new & exciting feeling.
I'm not going to list things I don't like. There are some, but these things listed here are awesome to me and I'm not going to drag down this post by commenting on the things that could have been improved.
What do you love about D2?

What do you love about D2?
I could list a few, but I'll probably be making an overall post proclaiming all the loves, hates, and everything in between that I have. But what do I love about D2 enough to reply to this thread? Well, first of all, I agree with I think all but one thing you said (not worth pointing out which one). But what do I love so much?
That after-credits cutscene. That there. That's what I'm talking about and looking for. That's some Bungie Halo level stuff right there. I am so incredibly excited for whatever that is and what comes next with it. I haven't even done the Raid yet, and I LOVE doing those. Yet here I am, more excited for whatever that cutscene has in store than actually playing this Raid. Bungie did a great thing.
