I don't get it. (Destiny)
What does this have to do with Luke Smith?
I'm getting a bit confused myself…I remember reading that Luke was Project Lead on Destiny 2. But a quick search lists Mark Noseworthy and Ben Wallace as project lead, and Luke as Game director. I am not sure what Game Director means.
Maybe there are multiple projects within the game, so Luke Smith oversees all project leads?
Luke and Mark covered this during one of the recent Bungie Podcasts. The short version is that Luke was in charge of the game itself as a playable piece of entertainment, while Mark was in charge of coordinating the studio to get Luke’s vision made on time and on budget.
(This is obviously a super reductionist way to put it, but that’s the basic idea)
