Quality of Life Changes in CoO (Destiny)
There have been a handful of quality of life changes in CoO which were much needed, but which all feel half-baked. I'm grateful they were attempted, and I hope they are further improved with coming patches:
- Vault: Default sort is now a functional sort that groups guns of the same name together. A welcome change. The other sorts are still blah and custom sorts aren't a thing. Also, does the vault still have to be small so the Xbox 360 and PS3 players can keep playing? That statement rings less true every time I think about it.
- UI: I think I was the only person annoyed that the challenge list wouldn't come up if you'd just earned glimmer during patrol mode. Well, that's been fixed! Unfortunately, the glimmer display doesn't fade out when the challenge list appears, so they overlap which hinders reading.
- Raid: Seems like ammo is refilled on wipe now? I was getting odd amounts of heavy ammo, but I always spawned with some (23-29 with It Stared Back sword, 6-8 with Hawthorne's shotgun). A desperately needed and very welcome change. I'm not at all sure why the amount is inconsistent though. Seems possible this is imaginary and I was just lucky enough to always have heavy? Primary and Secondary ammo definitely refilled on wipe.
Anyone noticed any other QoL improvements? Why Bungie didn't note these changes is beyond me; they're the best part of CoO so far (though I really enjoyed the raid lair tonight).
