I wonder when the awoken are coming back? (Destiny)

Ever since the Taken King and the awoken fleet going boom we haven't really talked about them at all. Will they be mentioned in the next DLC? Are they licking their wounds? What do you guys think?

I don't know. I want the queen to come back but they don't seem to care anymore about that plot. The story is almost a reboot. They might dump them.

The Reef is the next item after Mars that the Light Pulse passes. So anticipate an Awoken-related Y2.

It's hard to say... if DLC 2 really is about SIVA it could be then since the Fallen and the Awoken are intertwined to a certain degree. But in all honesty if they are going to bring back the Prince and/or the Queen as an NPC I'd prefer they wait until the next BIG DLC with the start of Year 2. I think that would make me the happiest.

Yeah, I feel like there are enough questions/mysteries to fill more than just add-on to another factions DLC.

There is a whole mountain of little tidbits that seem to indicate that things are happening behind the scenes. For instance:
- One of the last D1 Grimoire Cards has Prince Uldren (the Queen's Brother) essentially assert his authority as a monarch and take control over the Fallen House of Kings.
- In D2 there are multiple scannables relating to the Fallen in the EDZ. Piece them together and you basically get all of the Fallen consolidating under the House of Kings, and thus under Prince Uldren's leadership.
- There's at least one new lore segment about Petra Venj and some of the Awoken Royal Guard Paladins attempting to maintain control of the Prison of Elders. I believe its the Lore attached to Telesto.
My sense of it is that Prince Uldren and his large combination of Fallen houses may eventually be an enemy of ours. That Petra, Variks, and the Awoken of the Reef may have suffered losses to the Cabal and could possibly be in hiding. And that hopefully we'll see them all again in Destiny Expansion 4: The Search for More Money.
