Thanks for the tip about Hellblade. I put it in my cart last time it was on sale but never bought it. Now you just need you to loan me your platinum headset so I can really experience it. Seriously, I've viewed this game like Steel Battalion, assuming I've got to spend $200 to get the accessory I need to really play it.

You can get a new one on Amazon for $122. Sure, overall audio quality may be a downgrade from your fancy Astros, but the 3D audio still catches me off guard from time to time (like when I go back to HZD after a while and the ambient animals surround me), so it's totally worth it.

My A40s were flakey all through D1 year one, and fell apart sometime in year two, if I remember.

My main cans are AKG701Qs with a mod mic.

That's the best price I've seen. They are probably going to update them soon. I think they just updated the gold version.

HZD doesn't have 3D audio, does it? That would be a selling point.
