A Prideful Landmark (Gaming)

So today I earned the achievement Top of the World in Just Cause 3. Nothing special, of course--the achievement is fairly common and very easy. But the cumulative result makes me feel like I just beat every pro gamer in the world.

Today, I unlocked my four thousand one hundred and fortieth achievement!!

Now I know what you're thinking—why not chronicle the 414th achievement, etc.? Well, 414 would be far too easy. Plus, I earned it in 2008, long before achievements actually became a staple of modern gaming. I took a picture because obviously this won't last long--I've got a pretty large backlog to take care of! But thanks to TrueAchievements, I had a chance to immortalize one hell of a collection. Awesome possum!

You're way ahead of my 2,091 achievements.

If you enjoy the freedom of movement the Just Cause games provide, I would definitely recommend Grow Up. I got it as an XBL freebie AGES ago, couldn't even tell you when. But I finally played it a couple of weeks ago and I thought it was fantastic. Lots of ways to move around creatively like Just Cause, plus a type of grappling system I haven't seen anywhere else - you'll understand what I mean if you play it. I got through it in about a day, so it's not a terribly long game, but an interesting and unique experience.
