Immersion and Factions
I believe that the Destiny worlds will be able feel larger than Halos due to the teams working on each planet separately. Having large, diverse planets should really give a massive scale.
About the faction warfare, I think it will be based on different tiers of territory, the fighting areas, whoever dominates the most on that planet, gains that for the faction and then the system. Could really go a bit farther, like having discounts for the controlling faction or some other jazz like that. Would likely cause different factions to favor the places they control. May be good or bad, I don't know.
Don't think I have ever speculated that much before.
